A physical barrier your water system can rely on.

HydroFIL ULTRA is a sterilising‑grade, backwashable ultrafiltration system designed to provide whole‑buildingmicrobial protection at the point of entry. Engineered specifically to meet the requirements of NHS Estates Technical Bulletin (NETB) 2024/3, HydroFIL ULTRA delivers reliable, physical removal of waterborne pathogens, including nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM).

HydroFIL ULTRA is a 0.2 µm point‑of‑entry ultrafiltration system using high‑performance hollow‑fibre membrane technology to physically remove bacteria and other waterborne pathogens from incoming water supplies.

Unlike chemical disinfection alone, ultrafiltration provides a physical barrier, ensuring consistent protection even against pathogens that are resistant to traditional disinfectants. The system is modular, fully backwashable, and designed for continuous duty in critical applications.

Designed for healthcare

Purpose‑built to support water safety plans and high‑risk clinical environments.

HydroFIL ULTRA uses hollow‑fibre ultrafiltration membranes arranged in modular casings. Water flows through the membrane walls, while bacteria and pathogens larger than 0.2 µm are physically retained.

The system operates at a controlled flux rate and includes automated backwashing to maintain membrane performance. This ensures long service life, consistent pressure loss, and reliable protection without reliance on consumable filters.

Typical applications
HydroFIL ULTRA is suitable wherever whole‑building microbial risk reduction is required at the point of entry.

Compliance and Assurance

HydroFIL ULTRA is engineered specifically to support compliance, commissioning safety, and long‑term operational assurance in healthcare environments.
